Thanks to TVRennes and Philippe Berthou for this interview ! Here are the example shown on the video:
Exemple 1 - find your images on the web / print
In the report, IMATAG automatically found an article published on the internet without crediting the author of the photo:
This morning, a photographer received by email an automatic alert: the IMATAG service informs him that one of his photos has just been found.
The news posted on this page does not show any photo credits, and the photo file has no metadata.
This site returns to a second site, to which he took the picture to illustrate his news. Probably authorized to use the photo, the site francemusique.com has, he, correctly credited the author and his agency, but the metadata of the original photo have disappeared.
The agency (Hans Lucas) of the photographer (Frank Bessière) can therefore make a claim to the site cultureveille.fr.
Exemple 2 - find the author of an image
Mathieu uses www.imatag.com on his mobile to find out who is the author of the photo on the wall.
- He displays a photo on the screen
- With Imatag's app on his smartphone, he click on "image search" in the top left menu, selects the camera then shoots the photo and saves it.
- Imatag immediately gives the correspondence with the original photo : it is François Lepage who protects his photos on Imatag.
